SSCCN started as the leading professional body helping critical care nurses to update and develop essential skills in caring for the critically ill. The executive committee of the SSCCN planned to hold the “Inaugural Scientific Sessions” on the 24^th October 2015 in Waters Edge, Colombo, Sri Lanka only a few months since it was formed. The scientific session was held with many international and local experts in critical care joining SSCCN for this difficult task

The response was very encouraging with more than 100 participants joining the sessions with a lot of enthusiasm to see their own society blossoming into a strong association. Many who came applied for the life memebrship of SSCCN and the requests for more programs throughout the year was a very pleasant experience.
