Sri Lankan Society of Critical Care Nurses together with the Sri Lankan Society of Critical Care and Emergency Medicine hosted the SAARC Critical Care Conference in collaboration with the Association of SAARC Critical Care Societies (ASAARCCS) on the 31st of July 2016 at the Waters Edge. The annual scientific sessions 2016 of the SSCCN was part of this South Asian collaboration of critical care professionals.Inauguration Ceremony was held with the Chief Guest being Honorable Minister of Health Dr Rajitha Senaratne.
Intensive Care Specialists from most of the SAARC countries were represented at the CritiConColombo 2016 and there were many nurses from Pakistan, India and Maldives participating as delegates.The Sessions which followed were conducted in two different halls as parallel sessions where the participants could select the symposium they want and move freely to the particular hall of preference. The faculty for the event included experts from Europe, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, Singapore and the SAARC region. The event was conducted under the patronage of the Ministry of Health and the support received from the Industry was immeasurable.
