BASIC for Nurses

BASIC for Nurses is an internationally recognised Course for Critical Care Nurses. SSCCN is proud to be the leader in organsing the first such course in Sri Lanka on the 6th and 7th of June 2017 in Colombo. The course has a very high demand in Sri Lanka and we hope to continue the program in the future Oer hope is to build up our own group of instructors so that the BASIC for Nurses Course will be an established program to train critical care nurses in Sri Lanka.

The course material consists of:

• Pre-course multiple choice question test
• Lectures
• Skill stations
• Post-course test

There is a strong focus on the practical needs of the novice ICU nurse, with theoretical aspects being limited to those issues that are directly relevant to an understanding of clinical practice.
